  • How does Clean Creed define a "small business"?

We define small businesses as a business with fewer than 50 employees. Why 50? Because the majority of small businesses have less than 50 employees. And on top of that, 23 million businesses in the United States actually have no employees at all—meaning there’s only an owner going about business by themselves.

 

  • How does Clean Creed define a “women-owned business”?

Women-owned businesses are small business concerns at least 51% owned by women who are United States citizens and who also control and operate the business. "Control" means exercising the power to make policy decisions. "Operate" means being actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business.

 

  • How does Clean Creed define a “minority-owned business”?

Minority-owned businesses are small business concerns at least 51% owned by minorities who are United States citizens and who also control and operate the business. "Control" means exercising the power to make policy decisions. "Operate" means being actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business. “Minority” means African American, Asian American, Native American, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Bi-Racial Minority.

A family-owned business is a small business in which two or more family members are involved in the day-to-day functions and more than 51% of the ownership lies within a family.
  • How does Clean Creed define a "veteran-owned business"?

A veteran-owned business is a small business in which an individual who served on active duty with the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard for any length of time and didn’t receive a dishonorable discharge controls 51% of the ownership and management of the day-to-day functions of the small business.

    • I’d like to sponsor a small business to be on Clean Creed.  How do I do that?

     

    • I'm a U.S.-based small-business owner but I don't sell online.  Can I be on Clean Creed?

     Believe us, we get it. Setting up an online store is not easy and it's expensive. Feel free to contact us because many times, we can either help with your store setup or we can sell directly on Clean Creed with you sending the product to the end customer.
